This year the Programme Department of The Moravian Museum in cooperation with the Education and Culture Centre of the Jewish Museum in Brno prepared a number of lectures that aim to outline to the public the history and culture of Jews, particularly in Moravia. The first lecture called „About the Jewish history, culture and Judaism“ will take place on Wednesday, 7 February, in Dietrichstein Palace MZM. The architect Jaroslav Klenovský will give a comprehensive lecture about the history of Jewish settlement in Moravia and about Jewish quarters. Last year the Jewish Museum in Prague celebrated the 100th anniversary of its establishment and used the occasion to organize the project "Year of Jewish Culture - 100 Years". In connection with this project, the two institutions want to address and inform the public of Brno.
